A holiday for the feet – four times as much safety and comfort thanks to 4-Feature Technology

1. Better fit
Based on a scientific analysis conducted at Tübingen University ELTEN has developed a totally new type of last that takes into account not only the length and width of the foot, but also the heel width and the angular position of the ball of the foot. In this manner you can classify 3 foottypes.

• Foottype 1: short toe length, wide ball-/heel width, steep angular position of the ball of the foot
• Foottype 2: long toe length, medium ball-/heel width, flat angular position of the ball of the foot 
• Foottype 3: medium toe length, small ball-/heel width, medium angular position of the ball of the foot

2. Better outer sole
A characteristic feature of the modern world of work is an increase in turning and standing movements in the workplace. Based on ELTEN‘s successful SAFETY-GRIP sole concept, Tübingen University has developed a new outer sole concept which incorporates these findings. The ERGO-ACTIVE outer sole is optimally attuned to the ergonomic pivot points on the outer midfoot bones and in the heel zone and reduces frictional resistance to a minimum, thus preventing fatigue. Lateral profiling ensures high slip-resistance.

3. Better wearing comfort
The new ERGO-ACTIVE inlay sole offers the wearer three different comfort classes. The hardness of the inlay soles themselves can be adjusted to soft, medium or strong to suit your personal needs. Furthermore, an ergonomic chassis encloses the heel portion of the inlay sole, thus providing more stability and a firm hold in the shoe. Thus, the internal fittings of the ERGO-ACTIVE series are extended to include a special comfort component.

4. Better natural ventilation
ELTEN ERGO-ACTIVE safety shoes are fitted with a new type of microfibre lining whose capillary action ensures that moisture is considerably better conducted from the inside of the shoe to the outside. The 3D structure of the new textile technology not only has a heat-insulating effect, it also acts like a pump when walking. The result is guaranteed high thermal comfort and at the same time high air transmissibility and breathability. MDL is certified according to Öko-Tex standard 100.
