Joining

Joining identifies the process of sewing the insole to the upper.

Kevlar threading

Kevlar threading provides optimal flame resistance, heat protection and chemical resistance. Cleaning does not affect the fire resistance.

Ladies' ESD full-length inlay sole

The Ladies' ESD inlay sole is antistatic and fulfils the EN ISO 20345 standard for electrostatic discharge areas. It protects against electrostatic discharge (contact resistance: 105-107 ohm). The fleece provides good moisture absorption and release. The material is particularly sturdy, and the inlay sole is replaceable.

The integration of silver threads makes the material permanently antibacterial and anti-odour-forming. The replaceable inlay sole provides good moisture absorption and release. The inlay sole is also extremely sturdy and antistatic.

Laminated leather

This is understood to mean leather for which a laminate/membrane layer with a thickness of at least 0.15 mm is applied. The material may no longer be designated as leather if the laminated layer makes up more than one third of the overall thickness of the material.

Last

A last is a model of the human foot. It establishes the shoe's inner and outer measurements and so defines the shoe's fit.

Leather

Even today, most safety shoes are made from leather. This is due to the fact that many positive properties of leather make it well suited as a material from which to make shoes. Leather is a processed and refined natural product. In this case, it is tanned animal skins. It is often chosen because of its durability, its elasticity and its ability to keep its shape. Leather also holds heat, resists moisture and can be formed easily.
